June 7th dawned bright, sunny, and warm; the perfect weather for the 13th annual FOCUS Festival for Autism! Our signature event drew 350 people for games, music, activities, and fun! Special guests Rocky the Rock Cat, Tinkerbell, and Acorn the Clown entertained the crowd and met with their adoring fans. Our numerous vendors had lots of handy information, resources, and products for all who attended. Our Teacup Raffle had fabulous baskets and gift certificates available to win. One lucky attendee won the grand prize, an iPad Air!

Many Hands Made This Event Possible!

The FOCUS Festival for Autism was made possible in part by an anonymous donor and Health Consultants Group. Once again, we had great volunteers from Kohl’s Associates in Action program! Kohl’s #661 of Canton, Kohl’s #1448 of Berlin, and Kohl’s #969 of Waterbury lent us a big hand setting up the Festival for Autism and running our fun games! Liberty Baptist Church of Bristol generously donated tables and chairs. Chunky Tomato Pizzeria of Bristol provided our volunteers with delicious pizza! We can’t forget Sharon Cable and the Litchfield County Autism Spectrum Association, who made our beautiful raffle baskets, and James Cable, Gerard Hector, and Missy for providing musical entertainment! Most importantly, we would like to thank all the FOCUS volunteers and their family and friends who went above and beyond to make this year’s Festival for Autism spectacular!

Our fabulous activities, including the Eurobungee, High and Low Strikers, Mobile Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, were provided by: New York Party Works, Sharon Family Farm, and Strain Family Farm.

Our Vendors this year were: K21 Kid Strong Foundation, SpiritHorse Therapeutic Riding Center, Starwinds, Discovery Toys, Premier Designs, Thirty-One Gifts, Kids Dental of Bristol, Katrina Pandiscia of Usborne Books, The Curtis Blake Center at American International College, and Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes.
