Creating Social Opportunities and Building Positive Relationships
FOCUS Support Services promotes independence by helping adults develop self-awareness and social connections.
Activities include:
• Weekly Social Groups (in-person or Zoom)
• Daily Zoom Check-ins
• Classes (e.g. cooking and robotics)
• Weekly Parent Support Group
The FOCUS Adult Support Services program accommodates individual strengths and interests.
Social Groups
Small peer groups meet weekly to promote social learning in a supportive environment.
Club activities include:
• Sharing a meal
• Interactive activities
• Board and card games, puzzles, crafts
• Special attention given to individual strengths and challenges
Parent Support Group
FOCUS Parent Support Groups are offered monthly to help support the families and caretakers of our participants. This parent led support group is a time for parents to share strategies, discuss issues, and to be part of a supportive community. Child care is provided.
