COVID-19 Update

3/17/2020

Dear Fresh Start School Families,

We hope that you all are doing well and are taking good physical and mental care of you and your loved ones.  We are certainly in a fluid time that is changing moment to moment. We wanted to touch base with you regarding some important information during our closure:

  • As of right now, we plan to reopen when the governor mandated closure ends which will be a return for April 1st.

  • You have already started receiving communications regarding distance learning activities that you and your child can access during the closure in order to stay engaged in learning and routine. Please keep in mind that if you are struggling to make the learning activities happen, reach out to us for support and do not stress over it. This will NOT reflect on your child’s grade and is not intended to create any added stress.

  • Your child’s teacher has all the online login information needed. Please let us know if you run into issues accessing online programs including Google classroom.

  • You are also receiving communications from your child’s clinician to set up times for you and/or your child to check in weekly/daily. We encourage you to reach out to your child’s clinician if you run into any challenges with behaviors at home or around engaging in the learning activities.

  • If you have any questions please reach out to your child’s teacher, clinician or myself.

We encourage you to utilize the six Fresh Start School Rules for your children, and families, as they can be a very helpful tool in times like these:

  1. Stay Safe

  2. Follow directions

  3. Have a good attitude

  4. Show respect

  5. Take responsibility

  6. Have fun!

We are working hard to take care of all of our community members during this closure. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions, concerns and/or just to talk. We are here for you!

Thank you and talk soon,
